365 day project, photo challenge and competition 2012

Here at Designs for Me we are all about expressing yourself, and decorating your home and space your way, and with images that represent who you are.  I have had a busy Christmas and New Year Period, and with the passing of one of my beloved Cocker Spaniels, it has become even more important to me to live life to the full and get the most out of each and every day.  So, what better way to do this than to participate in the 365 day photo challenge?  For those of you that are unfamiliar with this project, it is where you take a photo every day for 365 days.  You can choose your theme, or it can be purely random the chose is yours.  The great thing about this challenge is that it is yours and you are in full control.  I was unfortunately unable to start on the first of January 2012, but I thought that Black Friday could represent as good a day as any to start this challenge.

I have probably taken on this challenge, with little or no planning, and I may regret this in 1 year, but only time will tell. I have joined the 365 project and will be posting my pictures on both my website, flickr and on the 365 site, My first step is to give myself a plan for the year, as this will help me plan my photos for the year, I have done my plan as an excel spread sheet.  This plan will just give me a guide as to what to photograph each day.

We would also like to invite all our Facebook followers to participate in the 365 day photo challenge.  At the end of the year, we will look at all the images posted in Facebook by our followers and see place the finalists on the website and on Facebook and ask the Designs for Me Community to vote on a winner for a 30 x 45 cm canvas print of your winning image.

I would love to have our own designs for me community participating in this challenge, and through our Facebook page we can discuss our challenges, trials and tribulations.  So get clicking, remember the world is your oyster and there is no better way to remember 2012.
